About Us

At Under the Barbell we are focused on keeping our community active, by decreasing the barriers to movement! This is done through guided individual programs, with a focus on education, to make the change a long term fix!

Whether you are in pain and looking to get back to your normal activities or you are looking to level up with your specific training goals, we are focused on helping you reach your full potential!

Our mission is to move all our clients along the

continuum.  Everyone is somewhere on this continuum and we want to make sure you are moving toward fitness and not sickness.  This can be addressed by improving your “Pillars of Health”.  Our specific pillars at Under the Barbell are:

Improving any one of these pillars can make a great impact on your quality of life and performance level. On the other hand, neglecting or struggling to properly address one pillar can set your health in a downward spiral.  Make sure you are building a strong foundation that will push you toward your fitness goals!

Mick spent 3 years serving as the Director of Sports Medicine and Performance for Advance Rehabilitation in Kingsland Georgia. Mick, his wife Kaylee (a pediatric physical therapist), daughters Ella (5) and Claire (3), and his dog Dallas recently moved to the 210 area to be closer to family. Mick grew up playing all sports but especially loved Basketball, Pole Vaulting and Soccer. His journey toward becoming a physical therapist began after a knee injury his junior year of high school. This injury prevented him from reaching his dream of becoming a collegian athlete. His time in therapy led him down his current path in the performance world.
